It is noteworthy that all models Toyota Verso is equipped with curtain shield airbags to protect passengers in the third row of seats and with the assistance of the intelligent vehicle stability control (VSC +).

Capitalizing on an investment of over € 1 billion and greater plant Adapazari reputation of exceptional quality construction, the car will be built at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkey.

DESIGN

Toyota 'Board Dynamics' new Toyota Verso focuses on all key attributes of a C-segment MPV to ensure the car combines contemporary style interior and exterior with the latest in space, comfort, practicality and flexibility, the main class of occupant and pedestrian safety features, and ride quality, comfort and dynamic sound capabilities of a conventional passenger car.

Room 'elements of the concept can be seen in the comfort, quality, comfort, atmosphere and interior roominess of the new, while the Toyota Verso "dynamic" is expressed through powerful external contents and interior design elements and strong driving dynamics.

Outside

Based on the dynamic nature of the current model, the new Toyota Verso Toyota takes the design of a new step forward language with a dual-zone style.

This approach is reflected in the order of the profile view, with a strong character line that flows from the edge of the front bumper, through the lower edge of the doors and swept through the C-pillar to roof spoiler -mounted. On one side of this line is in Area I in the bonnet and cabin, and the other Zone II includes the chassis and boot space.

From the front, the new Toyota Verso is characterized by the power lines and a powerful position, highlighted by the horizontal lines of the double-bar grille, the headlamps are pulled back well in the wings, a deep air dam and a central emblem of Toyota.

In profile view, the sharply delineated against wheelarches complement the double-line character, mixing at the top of the wings and generating a second character line that runs through the aerodynamics, the shooters doors of the vehicle along the waist.

Dimensions have been increased, giving a new Toyota Verso a wider and lower. Overall length is greater than 70 mm and 4440mm width is increased by 20 mm in 1790. Overall height is 1620mm and the coefficient of drag (Cd) of 0295 is the best car in the class. Verso Toyota remains one of the seven-seat compact MPVs on the market.

Toyota Verso is offered in a new range of colors, along with the new design 16-inch wheel covers 16 and 17 inch alloy wheels.

Inside

Toyota designers describe the interior as the subject of Smart Dynamic wave, expressed most strongly in the wave-like shape of the upper instrument panel, which distinguishes the functional area of the driver of the more relaxed atmosphere of the area passengers. The two areas are linked by a sharp line around the wavelength width of the strip.

The speedometer and tachometer are set in the cylinder housing, angled towards the driver and slightly offset so as not to interfere with the driver's view of the road ahead. The gear lever is mounted near the steering wheel in a central console that provides a strong definition of the vertical conductor in the area.

New puddle lights are integrated into the door mirrors which illuminate as you approach the vehicle and unlocks with the key fob, with soft orange activated LED lighting in the footwells and front doors are open.

Titanium vision inserts contained in the door handles, steering wheel and center console and is a mixture of technical grain soft touch plastic for the top of the dashboard, leather grain effect with a darker, lower, accentuating the feeling space inside the cabin.

A large panoramic glass sunroof with integrated electric blind is also available, increasing the cockpit open and airy atmosphere. It extends from the head of the windscreen to beyond the B-pillars, measuring 1160mm long and 1180mm wide. It is the largest piece of the roof of its kind in the new Toyota Verso class. The blind can be opened at any point along the length of the roof.

Toyota Easy Flat-7

New Toyota Verso offers all the versatility MPV buyers demand in a more user friendly than ever, thanks to improvements in the Toyota Easy Flat-7 system.

Toyota Easy Flat-7 allows the five rear seats to be folded individually to carry extra passengers or increase cargo space when the occasion demands it, in 32 different seating permutations.

The new Toyota Verso Easy Flat-7 has an improved mechanism that returns the second row of seats to its original position after being bent to provide access to the third row. The head in the second and third row of seats with a new low profile L-shape of the folding seat operation easier and to improve rearward visibility from the driver's seat.

The third row of seats can be stowed or erected in an easy, using one hand with a drive belt that can be reached from the back door. The third row of seats also gain adjustment.

The height-adjustable front seats with better support and a shoulder seat extended by 20 mm to improve comfort, especially on long trips, while an increase of 40 mm in height of the seat cushion forward andalusia offered driver a better view of the wheel.

Support and cushioning were also improved for the second row passengers and an increase of 30 mm in the seats "adjustment slider allows access to the third row seat easier. The longest distance between the first and second row of points of hip has increased by 50 mm up to 975mm, creating more rear legroom, and the height of the second row of seats has been reduced by 35mm to give more room and make it easier for passengers to enter and exit the car .

The boot floor is completely flat when the second and third row seats are folded and is longer than 185mm to 1830mm, making it easier to load long items. The cargo space is also larger 240mm to 1585mm, increasing storage capacity from 63 to 178 liters when the rear seats are upright, compared with the current model. The result is a seven-seat MPV that can lead to all passengers in comfort, with ample space for luggage, too.

A new management system is under the boot rear loadspace useful to keep valuable items out of sight or barrel stowage cover. Its capacity varies according to the number of rear seats in use, and whether a full-sized or space-saving, the rear wheel is specified.

Storage throughout the car also includes a large double deck glovebox, console, general proportions generous door pockets, seat folding tables with cupholders, a spacious center console box, a drawer under the front passenger seat, second row under the driver and passenger and storage pockets for holding mobile phones or music players.

Noise, vibration and harshness

Particular attention has been paid to reducing the levels of NVH new Toyota Verso to the best of its kind for the levels of C-MPV segment, comparable to those of many D segment cars.

And the use of traditional acoustic damping, Toyota Verso marks the world-first application of a two-piece top and bottom line of the passenger side of the bulkhead. Only the line density is optimized in the most critical points to avoid any weight gain. A second line noise on the engine side of the bulkhead is combined with low-insulated engine hood to further reduce noise intrusion.

Tuned silencing floor are installed beneath the panels of the seats and spare wheel, and a new acoustic material is used for the first time in a Toyota to isolate and absorb noise in the footwells.

Ensuring that cross-links the instrument panel structure to the A-pillar, beam and floor helps minimize vibration dashboard. A second beam, which bracketed the word is all the car below the rear seats. Wheelarch coatings and resin rocker moldings help reduce stone chip roar and an insulator between the A-pillar interior wing and more isolated from the cabin of the intrusion of noise.

These measures are combined with an aerodynamic package that gives you a class-leading drag coefficient (Cd) from 0295 to significantly reduce the noise in the cabin (for 2.5dBa) compared with the current model.

OPTIMAL MANAGEMENT OF TOYOTA powertrains

New Toyota Verso Toyota Optimal Drive benefits, adoption of innovative technologies to minimize fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, increase power and maximum driving pleasure.

These various technologies are focused on three aspects of power:
Weight loss of power through the use of super-lightweight and very compact engine components and transmissions.
Minimizing mechanical losses, by taking Valvematic (development of a VVT-i), new technology roller rockers, pistons smaller and lighter, low-viscosity oil and new six-speed manual transmissions and Multidrive.
Maximizing combustion efficiency, achieved through the adoption of high compression ratios, improving the intake port and the design of the combustion chamber and the introduction of oil-jet piston cooling. All diesel engines from Toyota Verso benefit of an improved fuel injection system.

Three engines are available in the new Toyota Verso at launch in the UK: two petrol engines, 1.6 and 1.8 liters Valvematic units, which give a better segment its combination of power and CO2 emissions, and a revised 2.0-liter D - 4D 130 diesel. A 2.2 liters D-4D D-CAT 150 diesel will join the range later in 2009 with a new six-speed automatic.

The new 1.6 liters Valvematic adjusts to a new six-speed manual transmission. Compared with the 1.6 VVT-i engine in the previous generation Toyota Verso, power has increased by 22bhp (22 DIN hp) to 131bhp (132 DIN hp) and maximum torque of 10Nm to 160Nm at 4400rpm. Provisional figures show CO2 emissions by 17g/km to 161g/km and fuel consumption combined cycle improved from 37.7 to 41.5mpg.

The 1.8-liter engine Valvematic offers the choice of the new six-speed manual gearbox or Multidrive S, Toyota-art continuously variable transmission. These are significant improvements in power, torque, emissions and fuel economy over previous Toyota Verso 1.8 VVT-i unit: the power is 18bhp (18 DIN hp) to 145bhp (147 DIN hp), torque increases by 10Nm to 180Nm at 4600rpm, CO2 emissions have been reduced 19g/km to 165 g / km (manual), and fuel consumption combined cycle of 36.7 improved to 40.4mpg (provisional CO2 and mpg figures ).

With the transmission Multidrive S, CO2 emissions are expected to 164g/km and 40.4mpg combined fuel consumption figures that represent the system of advantages over conventional automatic transmissions.

Toyota Verso also gains a revised 2.0-liter D-4D diesel engine which develops up to 125bhp (126 DIN hp) and 310Nm from 1800 to 2400rpm, with 140 g / km of CO2 emissions, the best in its class to the central 110-140bhp power in the area of the seven-seat MPV C-segment.

The 2.2-liter diesel engine prominently in the existing range of Toyota Verso is carried out for the new model will be available to customers in the UK after 2009. The output is increased 148bhp (150 DIN hp) and a maximum of 340Nm of torque available from 2000 to 2800rpm. Equipped with Toyota D-CAT clean diesel technology, produces 178g/km of CO2 and returns 41.5mpg in combined cycle driving (provisional figures). This engine is for a new six-speed automatic.

Ride and handling

New Toyota Verso has been designed for ease of handling, body control, stability and passenger comfort of a conventional car with its brand new high-rigidity frame, more wheelbase, wider front and rear tracks and extensively revised the suspension geometry.

Aerodynamics

New Toyota Verso has a class leading drag coefficient of 0.295 with a carefully thought out design, which is essential for the control of the body of the car, high speed stability and reducing wind noise.

Particular attention has been paid to the airflow under the car, with good Underfloor, wheel spats and wing-shaped vertical fins that help control the vertical body movement and the optimization of the front and rear lift coefficients. The result is a flat walk straight, more controlled and better guidance post response stability, especially in crosswinds.

Suspension

The MacPherson-type, has a new front suspension mounting brackets double principle: a rigid, locating external mounting of the spring and a soft interior to locate the shock mount. With the increased caster angle and roll stiffness, the new format provides optimal management of low transmission of noise and excellent comfort.

The compact and lightweight torsion beam rear integrated combat bar has also been revised to conform to the laggards to improve the angle of the steering arm in response. The spring and shock mounts have been removed to improve the efficiency of packaging, handling and comfort.

Directorate of Electricity

For the first time in Europe, Toyota has added active steering force a variable compensation to his assistant director of Electric Power in the new Toyota Verso. If the system detects an input speed of direction that is too high for vehicles in response to automatically reduce the power of providing assistance to limit entry and to promote smoother driving.

When the steering column torque sensor detects the vibrations of the wheels, an active control of vibration with the ECU can produce a compensation signal to reduce vibration before it reaches the wheel.

Brakes and tires

New Toyota Verso is equipped with the latest ABS and VSC + braking systems and stability, the incorporation of electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA) to the much shorter distance to stop.

SECURITY

New Toyota Verso receives update active, passive and impact safety of pedestrians and has a very rigid, impact-absorbing frame with a higher proportion of steel high tensile strength. These elements are designed to achieve five stars in a new, more stringent Euro NCAP crash test program.

Active

A full range of active safety systems are available for new Toyota Verso, including the latest generation ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA).

The assistance of intelligent + VSC system, installed as standard under counteracts oversteer or independently by the application of braking force to any of the four wheels at the same time, generate the pair of direction to help the driver keep the car under control. Traction Control (TRC) contains wheelspin and steering torque assist accountants vehicle yaw moments under braking or accelerating.

-Assist Hill Start Control (HAC) provides more control when pulling away on a slope to prevent the vehicle rolling backward.

Passive safety

Seven airbags are fitted as standard: driver and passenger side front airbags, front passenger airbag knee and curtain airbags protect that extend the full length of the cabin to protect occupants in both rows of rear seats - a feature which is rare in the compact MPV segment.

The front seats have anti-whiplash seats and all restraints are linked to a system of safety belt reminder in the instrument panel. Additional protection against injury of the leg is for driver and front passenger for energy absorbing pads built into the front footwells.

Lateral impact forces, are channeled through the floor and ceiling through strengthening the members and, in a first for a Toyota vehicle, energy absorbing pads are on the back of the belt line and the passenger hip place to reduce injuries.

A high strength rod seat is placed under the rear seats and secured on each side of the cabin, plus help absorb side impacts.

Impact of pedestrian safety

New Toyota Verso bonnet has a structure and an energy absorbing hood crushed in his rear end. The wiper motor and linkage have been moved farther down the firewall, beyond the point of impact should be hit a pedestrian.

1996 Toyota RAV4

Quite simply, the UK 4x4 market has never been the same since Toyota RAV4 was launched (the vehicle of recreational activity - four wheels) in 1994. Since the first information that would lead to its radical style in 1986 with the emergence of a concept car at the Salon in Tokyo in 1989, the gestation period of this trend-setting sport 4x4 was long. In fact, a car was completely remodeled in the Hall of Tokyo 1993 and the Toyota RAV4, finally appeared in its final production form at the Geneva Show in 1994 - the first time, Toyota has chosen to give Europe a world reveal one of its car production. It's worth the wait.

What the public saw was relatively simple, lightweight and robust urban 4x4 "monocoque design (a construction technique usually reserved for cars and not 4x4) with three doors, powered by a 2.0-liter 16v petrol engine with permanent four-wheel drive and either manual or automatic transmissions. Toyota has taken its time in the study of European markets and the UK before starting the Toyota RAV4. had been avoided delivering a "me too" product of the years eighties and in its place produce a true original product for the 'nineties. You just have to look at the multitude of sports imitating / 4x4 lifestyle to be followed in the bulk of the Toyota RAV4 wheels. Perhaps imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?

Testimony of the "rightness" of the Toyota RAV4 is the original design so that the vehicle has little changed since its introduction in 1994. Yes, a five-door version was introduced in March 1995 Top and a mild version of the three doors in January 1998 but the updates are limited to improving what was already well and of course, Toyota has added value to the vehicle as the Toyota RAV4 market segment has become more competitive.

Toyota launched the Toyota RAV4 in the UK in June 1994, just three doors. There were two versions available - the Toyota RAV4 and the Toyota RAV4 GX high specification. The GX offered two removable sunroofs, central locking, tilt steering column, electric door mirrors, driver's airbag and an alarm / engine immobilizer standard.

In March 1995 the entry-level three-door Toyota RAV4 was re-Badge GS as the RAV4 and a new five-door GX model was introduced. The five-door is 16 inches longer overall than the three-door with a capacity of five people.

Pretensioners for front seat belts were introduced in the implementation of the five-door and it was also available on Toyota RAV4 three-door model in September 1995. Lock the wheel was also added as standard nuts for all models Toyota RAV4 door at this time.

October 1996 saw a number of enhancements for all models Toyota RAV4, which included the installation of dual front airbags as standard, a large rear mount stop lamp and the 2.0-liter 16v engine was adapted for cleaner emissions, less noise and over par. Maximum torque increased to 131 pounds feet of 4600rpm peak power, while slightly decreased 126bhp at 5400RPM.

In March 1997, a new luxury five-door VX is added to the range. The VX is available with five-door manual or automatic transmission and adds the following elements to the already offered in the full level of the five-door GX: air conditioning, antilock brakes, larger alloy wheels, tires and wheel, extensions, a Connolly leather interior in either gray or burgundy, a rear roof spoiler and front to improve the handling of keys.

In December 1997, the Toyota RAV4 is lower given their first face since its launch. In connection with the facelift RAV4 range, Toyota also introduced a Soft-Top version of the three-door RAV4. The introduction of the Soft-Top Model, and the changes that were made to the range are presented in detail as follows:

The exterior of the door mirrors and door handles are now colored according to a more coherent and a new design has been chosen for the steel wheels fitted as standard with the EX and GX models. Four new exterior colors are available - Magna Red, Cool Water (blue), and British green power Green.

A multitude of detail changes keep the new Toyota RAV4 interior a fun, but to be functional. All models are subjected to textiles and cloth headrest door decorations, a titanium-finished look to the instrument panel surround and the airbag is a sporty three-spoke steering wheel design.

The instrument now has a brand of carbon fiber and the automatic transmission in cars include a selector screen now. A single electric sunroof replaced twice now manual / removable sunroofs previously available in the three-door model GX. New seat two seats, are introduced in the five-door models.

Best sounds come courtesy of a new audio system with four speakers and removable front panel for security control automatic "one-touch" installation is added to the driver's electric window function. For convenience, the locking and unlocking all the doors can be operated from the front passenger side door and the driver's side door lock.

1999 Toyota Yaris

Joining the successful 67bhp 1.0-litre VVT-i Toyota Yaris is a bigger-engined 1.3-litre version made its debut at the 1999 Frankfurt Motor Show. The 1.3 is essentially a larger capacity version of the 1.0-litre VVT-i engine which has recently won the coveted 'International Engine of the Year Award' for 1999. This new engine will be offered with the GLS and CDX specification grades plus a new, more youthful SR grade. An all-new four speed automatic gearbox will also be offered with GLS and CDX grades featuring the new engine. The Toyota Yaris is a huge success in the European market place with total customer orders in the first 3.5 months since launch exceeding 80,000 units.

1.3-litre high-tech engine

The 1.3-litre 2NZ-FE engine, with a bore of 75mm and a stroke of 73.5mm, offers the same high tech engine technology as the 1.0-litre Toyota Yaris engine. The 1299cc four cylinder engine features two overhead camshafts, four valves per cylinder and the unique Toyota VVT-i system, which stands for Variable Valve Timing intelligent. This state-of-the-art engine technology offers a well-balanced combination of low emissions, quiet running, great fuel economy and sparkling performance.

The 1.3-litre Toyota Yaris engine provides a maximum power output of 63kW (85bhp) at 6000rpm and a peak torque figure of 124 Nm (91 lb ft) of torque at 4400rpm. More important than this peak figure is the flat torque curve itself, offering outstanding engine characteristics. From 2400rpm up to 5400rpm, more than 110 Nm (82 lb ft) is available. This offers the driver enormous flexibility, which is of great importance in heavy traffic and when overtaking. The flat torque curve is one of the results of careful design of the combustion chambers and the infinitely variable valve timing system.

The VVT-i system, which in the past was only available in luxury cars with large engines, adjusts the timing of the inlet valves according to the operating conditions of the engine. Under all driving conditions the electronic engine control unit (ECU) monitors engine speed and driver actions to increase valve overlap at low and medium engine speeds while reducing overlap at higher engine revolutions. The result is maximum available torque in combination with low fuel consumption and reduced exhaust emissions.

Direct ignition

Another feature of the all-new Yaris 1.3-litre engine is the Toyota Direct Ignition system, which again was originally developed for range-topping models, such as the Camry V6. The traditional distributor has been replaced by four individual high performance transformers operating directly on each spark plug.

Not only can each spark plug be carefully controlled and individually timed, but also direct ignition removes the need for distributor maintenance and the problem of varying spark timing between vehicle services.

The new 1.3-litre engine shares with the 1.0-litre version the offset crankshaft design, which reduces friction losses in the engine for the lowest possible fuel consumption. The 1.3-litre features a light engine as a result of very precise casting of the cylinder block, which is made of aluminium. Also, the compact cylinder head and resin intake manifold design achieves more weight reduction.

Performance

Equipped with the 1.0-litre VVT-i engine, the Toyota Yaris already offers great performance figures, with a maximum speed of 96mph (156km/h) and an acceleration figure of around 14.1 seconds from rest to 62mph.

The 85bhp 1.3-litre version now offers even better performance. Acceleration from rest to 62mph (100km/h) is achieved in 11.7 seconds. Top speed is 109mph (175 km/h).

Due to its state of the art engine technology, the 1.3-litre Toyota Yaris engine offers a unique combination between high performance and low fuel consumption and emissions. Fuel economy in the 93/116/EC mode shows a combined consumption figure of 47.8mpg (5.9l/100km) and a CO2 emission of 141g/km. The new 1.3-litre Toyota Yaris is great to drive while offering excellent fuel economy.

Automatic gearbox

Like the 1.0-litre version, the 1.3-litre Toyota Yaris is equipped with the lightweight and compact 5-speed manual transmission. However, the 1.3-litre is also available with a fully automatic gearbox specially developed for Yaris. The 4-speed overdrive automatic gearbox is of a unique compact and lightweight design and offers a very high efficiency due to low internal friction.

By adapting the latest technology in terms of hydraulic circuit control, the new automatic transmission offers 50 per cent shorter gear change time than the previous automatic gearbox offered on small Toyotas.

Toyota Yaris Servicing Schedule

Major service intervals at 20,000miles/2 years. 30-minute safety, oil and filter 'Health Checks' at one-year/10,000 miles.

Simpler, cheaper servicing for Toyota Yaris customers has been a primary consideration in the European designed Yaris from day one of its inception. Toyota Yaris requires 45 per cent less labour time (over three years/60,000 miles) than the current Starlet model, which it supersedes. Overall maintenance costs (including tyres and brakes) are reduced by 25-30 per cent. This all means cheaper servicing costs and greater convenience for Toyota Yaris customers.

Technological advances and improved maintenance processes on Toyota Yaris have enabled major services to be set at a lengthy two years or 20,000 miles. The advanced 1.0-litre 16v engine with 'first-in-class' variable valve timing features maintenance free valve lifters, maintenance free direct ignition (no distributor), 40,000 mile spark plug changes using normal plugs and a maintenance free timing chain (no cam belt change needed). The Toyota Yaris torsion beam rear suspension also features a toe correcting function which optimises tyre life.

In between major services, Toyota Yaris customers are only required to have an oil and oil filter change at 10,000 miles, when their dealer will also give the car a free 'Health Check' for safety items including lights, fluid levels, tyres and brakes. The advanced Yaris engine has been designed to use cheaper mineral grade oil instead of the more expensive semi and fully synthetic oils that some rivals manufacturers insist upon.

Toyota Yaris Easy Care

Capitalising on the low maintenance needs of Toyota Yaris, Easy Care is a stand alone two or three-year servicing plan for Yaris sold separately from the vehicle. For a one-off payment ranging in price from £140 for a two year plan to £220 for a three year plan, Easy Care covers major services, oil and filter changes and replacement parts costs meaning any unlikely unbudgeted surprises are catered for.

Although, obviously, the family Yaris, high performance Toyota Yaris T Sport is a clear picture aggressive sports.

The lowering of the suspension (20mm front and rear) not only gives more sporty handling, it also creates an appearance of car occupants - a look at the increase in 15-inch alloy wheels and low profile tires that now fill the wheel arches.

The maximum width of depth with front and rear fog lamps integrated sport grille and body side skirts complete the dynamic picture. The headlamp surround is black for greater attention and unique sport T emblems identifying the new brand.

The Toyota Yaris T Sport is 20 mm longer than the standard car (thanks to a longer rear overhang) and 20 mm lower. It is available in two three-door and five-door bodystyles.

Yaris even stronger

The 1.5-liter, variable valve timing intelligent (VVT-i) engine installed in the Toyota Yaris T Sport is still the most powerful in the Yaris range. That develops 106 DIN hp (78kW) of power at 6000rpm and maximum torque of 145Nm at 4200rpm.

However, with Toyota's advanced VVT-i technology, the Yaris T Sport is still easy to drive and extremely economical. Achieves 6.9 litres/100km in the EU combined cycle - the best in its class - and has similarly low emissions (160 g / km CO2).

This kind of leader in performance translates directly into a more pleasant driving experience. The Toyota Yaris T Sport is faster than 100 km / h from 1.6 liters to many hot hatches and excels in the mid-range acceleration - fast 60 to 100km / h in fourth motion (8.4 seconds) than any another car.

Performance suspension

The Toyota Yaris T Sport suspension is adjusted to provide the travel and handling performance that customers expect from T Sport. However, retains the agile style of the original Yaris and good comfort for everyday use.

Suspension springs and dampers are more rigid are more difficult to cope with the extra grip of tires and produce less body roll. The ride height is lower adds to the feeling of greater stability.

The low-profile 15-inch tires enhance cornering ability and increased steering response and stability in a straight line.

Sports style interior

Trim the inside of Toyota Yaris T Sport has also been modified to reflect the style of sports car without losing any of the comfort or quality original.

New style sports analogue meters to replace the standard digital instrumentation and Yaris sports seats, plus three radio sports leather steering wheel, add to the high performance environment. The gear shift is two-tone metal and black leather with a single way to boot.

The Toyota Yaris T Sport range is limited to five body colors, including gray metallic exclusive half of the range, and a new two-tone metallic finish and dark gray.

Powerful economic engine VVT-i

The 1.5-liter, variable valve timing intelligent (VVT-i) engine installed in the Toyota Yaris T Sport is still the most powerful in the Yaris range and is also available on the Yaris Verso. That develops 106 DIN hp (78kW) of power at 6000rpm and maximum torque of 145Nm at 4200rpm.

Toyota Yaris T Sport has a top speed of 190 km / h and accelerate to 100 km / h in 9.0 seconds remaining.

However, with Toyota's advanced VVT-i technology, the Yaris is still easy to drive and extremely economical. The T Sport (3 door) is 6.9 litres/100km in the EU combined cycle - the best in its class - and has similarly low emissions (160 g / km CO2). The new engine meets the emissions legislation Step 3.

Lightweight engine design

The Toyota Yaris T Sport Engine, designated 1NZ-FE, is a light, unit block of aluminum alloy that has been designed for maximum efficiency.

The use of aluminum cylinder block and crankcase pan, plastic in the intake manifold and water inlet and a general reduction in the total number of components, the weight has been kept to a minimum. In addition, methods of assembly and placement of auxiliary devices have been reviewed to reduce the height and width of the engine compact.

The 1497cc engine is a 16-valve, dual camshaft engine with a general high-efficiency compression 10.5:1. Toyota direct ignition system, consisting of four ignition coils operating directly on each spark plug, by burning fuel more efficient, less emissions and less maintenance - no ignition timing to be adjusted and not for distribution services .

Low friction has been achieved through the design of parts, including the displacement of the crankshaft, to reduce the losses of the mechanical engine by 25 percent. This, in turn, contributes to a reduction in fuel consumption.

The role of VVT-i

Toyota's intelligent variable valve timing (VVT-i) technology will play a key role in the development of T Sport. It will allow Toyota to use more powerful, but lighter engines across the range T Sport to offer more performance and agile handling sports.

Varying the overlap time between the closing of the exhaust valve and intake valve opening, the engine features VVT-i can be changed to create optimal recording - resulting in more efficient use of fuel, exhaust emissions over Clean and increased torque output, especially at low and medium engine speeds.

The Toyota system has the advantage of continuously variable (not enhanced) and valve timing allows the engine management computer to specify the optimal timing for the full range of driving conditions. This means that the valve overlap time no longer has to be set in advance to adapt to a predetermined driving.

More complete combustion, the higher combustion temperature means less nitrogen oxide emissions. An increase in valve overlap in some of the results of recycling without burning fuel, reducing unburned hydrocarbons, and also on the results of internal recirculation of exhaust gas, further reducing nitrogen oxides.

Sports Exhaust

The Toyota Yaris T Sport is fitted with a specially designed exhaust pipe and silencer which maintains low emissions and high fuel efficiency, but adds to the sportiness of the car.

The large diameter tail pipe is by design of the rear view ad muffler system has been adjusted to produce a deeper, more sporting engine note is a low engine speed while reducing the flow noise at high speeds .

Close manual gearbox

The Toyota Yaris T Sport is equipped with a close relationship, five-speed manual transmission to deliver optimal athletic performance and make the best use of 1.5 liters VVT-i engine.

The gearchange sports highlights by the insertion of aluminum, and short throw gearlever black leather gaiter.

Sports suspension provides excellent handling

Toyota Yaris T Sport is designed with a new sports suspension up to make sure it offers the ride and handling characteristics required by Sport T customers - but without giving up an acceptable level of comfort for everyday use.

The squat seems created by reduced travel and increased height of the tire size also Toyota Yaris T sport a more aggressive, athletic, which fits your new image.

The Toyota Yaris T Sport is 20 mm lower than the conventional gate, which reduces the center of gravity height and roll. The lower center of gravity also means a better handling of the behavior and stability in the limit.

Rigid body structure

The Toyota Yaris T Sport body has hardened in certain key areas to improve torsional rigidity and steering response.

A new bar stiffness has been provided through the bottom rear of the body under the rear bumper, to increase rear-end and grip on the road. This improves stability when cornering at the limit.

The lateral stiffness of the torsion beam rear suspension has increased by 15 percent with a cap of stronger support for greater lateral direction.

Sports profile tires and wheels

Low-profile 15-inch tires do more than add to the sporty appearance of the Toyota Yaris T Sport. Increasing curves and a greater capacity to address response and stability in a straight line.

185/55 R15 tires 175/65 R14 to replace the units equipped with the conventional model, increased cornering power by 15 percent and the lateral stiffness by 10 percent.

Sport tires complement the smart six-spoke aluminum alloy wheels that are unique to the Toyota Yaris T Sport model.

High Performance Suspension

Although Toyota Yaris T Sport uses the same suspension design as the standard base Yaris Hatchback - MacPherson Strut front and rear torsion beam - the units have been tuned to suit the characteristics of sports car.

The suspension adjustment reduces body roll and the Yaris fits the largest bond offering 15-inch tires. It also ensures the suspension can cope with the reduction in ride height and prevents bottoming out.

Suspension bush assembly have been tightened to introduce greater lateral rigidity and spring rates are up to 30 percent. Damper forces are also up by 20 percent, and harder rubber is used in the top suspension mounts and other dots.

Efficient, safe brakes

The Toyota Yaris T Sport has excellent braking performance to match its increased power handling and sports.

Disc brakes, 14 inches, are fitted front and rear and a full Anti-lock braking system is standard. Toyota Yaris T Sport is also equipped with the electronic distribution of braking force (EBD) to improve stability in slippery roads and sudden braking.

The EBD control uses the ABS to optimize the distribution of braking force between front and rear wheels in response to driving conditions and vehicle load. It also helps to maximize the braking force, left to right, during cornering.

Dynamic new look, inside and out

The Toyota Yaris T Sport is designed to turn heads. While obviously still part of the family Yaris, this gate is a high performance image clearly aggressive sports.

The lowered suspension and big 15-inch wheels and tires to create a car-like occupants - a view that is reinforced by the special T sport bodykit.

The deep tissue and cross the front grille design to add strength and provide a clear sporting message. Around the headlights were changed to black and small, round fog lamps are integrated into the brake cooling vents.

Side body add depth below the bottom of the doors and the rear bumper is a single piece, once again adding visual force. Rear fog light and reversing light is built in New combination of red taillights, but it seems the change of signal is actually dark pink smoked.

A rear roof spoiler is an optional extra.

Choice of body styles
