When Toyota had the opportunity to renew the style of Toyota Yaris in the spring of 2003, the challenge for the design team was to create a new look without diluting the style of the model values. This was achieved by restyling the front grille and headlights to provide an amazing, young and sporty appearance. The air in the bumper and radiator grille feature a mesh treatment and teardrop-shaped headlights that extends into the top line of the bumper. The inner surface of the headlight is chrome, adding to the boldness of the Toyota Yaris and improving the appearance of the light forward.
At the rear, there is a ceiling figured heavily refurbished light clusters, ended with an all-over red. These refinements are still some exterior design of the keys seen at the Toyota Yaris Cabrio Concept, revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in 2000.
