Geneva 2012: Vauxhall / Opel's small SUV called Mokka - first look and detail

Opel celebrates at the Geneva Motor Show in early March, the world premiere of the Mokka. The new SUV for the B-segment is 4.28 meters long and is available on request with all-wheel drive. Up to 1372 liters of cargo space and a total of 19 storage facilities are available.

The range includes two petrol units, a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine with 85 kW / 115 hp and a 1.4-liter Turbo with 103 kW / 140 PS and 200 Nm of torque. Diesel buyers there is a 93 kW / 130 hp 1.7 CDTI with 300 Nm. The 1.4 turbo and the 1.7 CDTI are available with either six-speed manual or automatic six-stage. The standard Electronic Stability Program with traction control, in addition to a mountain-and-abfahrhilfe.



With the Mokka variety of technologies making their first entry in the SUV segment B, for example, a series of driver assistance systems based on the Opel front camera, or a reversing camera. The safety at night increases the optionally available adaptive lighting system AFL + based on the third generation of the bi-xenon headlights with high beam assistant. The Opel front camera enables further assistance functions such as Lane Assistant and traffic sign recognition. Also can be equipped with the Opel Mokka ergonomic front seats that have been certified by the "healthy back campaign" (AGR). Also for the Mokka is the exclusive fully-integrated bicycle carrier Flex-Fix is available.
